CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in florals began as a child gardening with my mother and sisters. Over the years, my expertise in both watercolor and digital art developed from the calling in my heart, and opportunities with clients who trusted my work. This focus has been nurtured through my ability to see both the smallest details and the overall mass effect of many varieties of flowers. To create successful illustrations, I believe each flower is telling a story and it is my job to weave that story into a beautiful piece of art. To maintain my focus and skillset I produce floral and plant-based art consistently, and consequently my portfolio is ever changing.
Q&A
What do flowers symbolize to you?
Flowers symbolize so much to me. The tough flowering weeds who are determined to grow where they are. The lesson of death and rebirth I witness each year. The steady time-honored lessons of patients and embracing the seasons. My garden is my teacher.
