CREATIVE STATEMENT
I love people, so illustrating portraits is a way to express my interest. To create a successful portrait illustration I believe it's important to not just capture likeness, but the person's essence. For me, two important qualities of a successful portrait illustration are conveying energy through loose lines and vivid colors.

Which of your portraits is a personal favorite?
Jeff Goldblum is my favorite. He's a colorful character and I love the colors and linework that I believe capture some of his uniqueness.
What is the most important feature to capture?
Most of the time, the eyes are the key to creating a portrait that draw people in.
What would your dream project be?
I would love to create celebrity portraits for magazines like Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, or album art for major recording artists.
