CREATIVE STATEMENT
I’ve always loved to try new foods and am obsessed with beautiful food packaging, but my interest in food illustration began when my best friend (a chef) hired me to create signage and icons for her packaging and website. As an illustrator who specializes in food and drink, I’ve nurtured this focus with assignments like designing a menu for a local dessert café chain and multiple food packaging projects for supermarket products. Lately I’ve been illustrating prints and patterns for licensing on products like fabrics, stationery, bedding and tea towels, with a focus on the food and drink market. I love creating happy little repeat patterns with juicy fruits and veggies, sweet treats and yummy seasonal cocktails!

What fruit or vegetable do you most love to illustrate?
Tomatoes! They come in so many different shapes and colours, so they have lots of character – and they are also my favourite food to eat!
What is your comfort food?
I love veggie pho with tofu and lots of hot sauce. I always order it from the same place when we feel like I'm coming down with a cold.
What is your favorite beverage?
It's a tie between a nice hot chai latte on a chilly day, and an icy cold mojito with fresh mint on a hot summer evening.
