CREATIVE STATEMENT
My love for food illustration began the moment I watched the first season of the Great British Bake Off. The captivating illustrations of each contestant's culinary masterpieces immediately pulled me in! What I find most delightful about food illustration is how stylized and diverse each piece can be, whether it's a piece of fruit or a complex family recipe. To maintain my skills, I draw in my sketchbook every day, experimenting with colored pencils, watercolors, inks, paints, markers, and more to bring various food items to life in different ways. I've had the joy of creating food-themed patterns, gift wrap, and greeting cards for my Cheery Human Studios product line. Recently, I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with an edible sticker company to create Halloween themed illustrations and patterns for their cake and cookie decorating products. My favorite subjects to draw are fruits and vegetables - nothing beats the fun of adding cute little faces to them, too!

Q&A
What fruit or vegetable do you most love to illustrate?
I love illustrating strawberries, apples, and lemons. I especially enjoy adding silly faces to them.
What is your comfort food?
Some of my favorite comfort foods are Japanese curry, Korean fried chicken from my favorite local spot in Los Angeles, or popcorn with dairy-free butter and a bit of pink salt.
What is your favorite beverage?
My favorite beverage is water. I've always got a water bottle or two next to me at all times - gotta stay hydrated! I also love iced lychee green tea.
