CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in landscape painting began when I was around 16 years old and studying Art for my A Levels at school. One of my coursework projects was centered around landscapes, and through this assignment I fell in love with the subject. Observing nature has a huge part to play in painting landscapes, and I nurture this focus by capturing them plein air, as often as I can. This is an incredibly informative and immersive experience, and I always come away from a plein air session feeling more passionate about landscape painting and excited to see which direction my work will take next.

Q&A
What is your favorite sound from nature?
My favourite sound from nature is either bird song or a babbling brook.
Which do you prefer: fields or forests?
I love both, but if I had to pick, I'd say forests. I'm a big fan of trees!
What is your favorite season?
Summer! I love the long days full of hope and possibilities... and the flowers!
