CREATIVE STATEMENT
A delicious meal is the perfect start to a wonderful day. I enjoy portraying the beauty of food and the stories behind recipes. I can easily switch between two styles: one for children's books and realistic non-fiction, and another that leans towards abstract composition. To create a successful illustration, it's important to maintain a cheerful vibe while offering stylized composition and rhythms. For me, using food to reflect the culture of different countries and pursuing a unique visual language in illustration are both important.

Q&A
What fruit or vegetable do you most love to illustrate?
I love to draw seasonal foods—absolutely adore things that have a seasonal feel.
What is your comfort food?
Curry, where I can add interesting ingredients—like apples, mangoes, yogurt—and show off to my family, telling them what strange things I added after they praise the taste.
What is your favorite beverage?
Black tea, better with floral scent, is best enjoyed with chocolate-coated biscuits.
