CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in illustration began as a kid, reading picture books and imagining worlds for my stuffed animals. I love the idea of the magical hidden within the ordinary, like diving into the ocean through your bathtub or opening a closet door to whole new place. What I love most about lifestyle illustration is its ability to get us to pause and look closer at the seemingly mundane activities of our daily lives, and see that there really is so much magic to be found there. To maintain my skillset, I make sure to practice this mindfulness and observe the people and activities around me - there’s endless inspiration to be found there.

Q&A
Do you draw from a model or your imagination?
I mainly draw from imagination, although it is based on many years of life modelling study which I upkeep as part of my practice as well.
What is your favorite activity to illustrate?
I love to illustrate variations on self-care and imagery of solitude and emotion - I think it’s easy to skip past that in the fast-pace of life, and always try to take time to go inwards when possible.
Where do you find inspiration for new people and poses?
I gather inspiration by observing people in public! Whether it’s on public transit or sitting in a coffee shop, the interactions between human beings and the world are beautiful and intricate and inspire me every day.
