CREATIVE STATEMENT
I have always been pulled to illustrations that allow the audience to do most of the work in understanding the story. As an editorial illustrator I strive to create visual metaphors that are quick to communicate and subtle enough not to give away the story all at once. Working across financial, health, and social justice community related content, I love how editorial illustration helps to uplift overlooked narratives. Coming from an immigrant community, I focus on speaking with authenticity, humor, and warm colors, while incorporating my own Southeast Asian culture into the stories I illustrate.
