CREATIVE STATEMENT
Claudia Marianno is an illustrator from Sao Paulo, Brazil. For many years she worked as a graphic designer in an educational design studio and then on magazines at Brazilian publisher, Editora Abril. She has been illustrating full-time since 2017 working for Brazilian publishers. Claudia holds a BA degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Sao Paulo (but she has never worked as an architect!).
Dyslexia meant she struggled with communication as a child and she started drawing to express herself without words. Claudia has a passion for creating detailed, urban, crowded scenes. She’s obsessed with Victorian England and the impressionism movements.
