CREATIVE STATEMENT

I create bright, lighthearted art that makes people smile, because we need more joy in the world. What I love most about designing patterns is putting motifs together like puzzle pieces to make harmonious art that's pleasing to the eye. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, and before I became a full-time illustrator and surface designer, I worked for 16 years as a film and TV graphic designer, creating props for the sets of major motion pictures and award-winning TV shows. I’ve been featured on NPR’s "All Things Considered," TED, UPPERCASE Magazine, and Peppermint Magazine.
