CREATIVE STATEMENT
I started my illustration career in 2011 and since then I have specialized as a children's book illustrator, having worked on over 35 books. Specializing in children's illustration has allowed me to work on a large variety of books including baby board books, picture books and non-fiction. What I love most about children's book illustration is the variety and ability to inform and educate children with pictures. I'm also a skilled pattern designer creating designs for kids clothing, gift and home decor.

Q&A
What was your favorite storybook as a child?
My favourite storybook as a child was The Jolly Christmas Postman by Janet and Allen Ahlberg. I absolutely loved the interactive nature of the book with “real” cards and letters. So much fun when you’re little.
Which authors do you admire most?
Authors I like and admire range from Terry Pratchett to Jane Austen. I love both of their wry and acute takes on the worlds that they wrote about. That sense of humour is something I like.
What characteristic really brings a children’s book to life?
I think an engaging character is the key to bringing a children's book to life. I love story's with strong, main characters, and an environment that pulls you in.
