CREATIVE STATEMENT
As an illustrator who specializes in character design, I try to bring energy and expressive movement into my pieces. I’m inspired by midcentury modern era illustrations and am always thinking about how I can combine elements of old and new in my work.

Q&A
Who is your favorite cartoon character?
I really like the Moomin book and comic series by Finnish artist Tove Jansson, which was originally published between the years of 1945 and 1993. I think the drawings are so stylish!
What storybook do you remember from your childhood?
I had two books by Frank Asch’s Moonbear series called Popcorn and Sand Cake. I still love the images from those books.
What is your super power?
In the context of illustration I think my superpower is color.
