CREATIVE STATEMENT
Hello! I’m Yuey, a Japanese illustrator based in Los Angeles. For the past 7 years, I’ve worked as a freelance illustrator on a wide range of projects from publishing to licensed products. My interest in editorial illustration began when I studied abroad and started learning English as a second language. I realized then how visuals can add another layer to communication, sometimes saying what words alone can’t. I love turning complex ideas into illustrations that are not only clear and clever, but also fun to look at and think through.
