CREATIVE STATEMENT

Art is my passion and motivation as an illustrator, allowing me to transform spaces with murals and inspire through my work, be it in magazines or on large-scale projects. My interest in mural art began with painting glass murals in restaurants and bars, when I still worked as a barkeeper while studying design in Zurich. My focus lies in creating harmonious atmospheres using color and composition, often drawing from natural motifs. I aim to make art accessible to all, regardless of background, and hope to inspire with my murals. Living in Winterthur for over a decade, my connection to the city fuels my art, and I'm grateful for the support that has allowed me to pursue my passion. For me, the two most important qualities of a successful mural illustrator are to work consistently on painting skills and having a good understanding of the customers' ideas and needs.

Q&A

What is the largest mural you ever made?
I created my largest mural on a 430 square foot wall in a conference room of an IT office.

Which do you prefer: hand-painting or vinyl graphics?
I did some vinyl graphics for a fashion client, but I prefer hand-painted murals way more, because the effect of a is much more dynamic and has a completely different atmospheric effect. In addition I also enjoy working on site and traveling therefore.

What would be your dream mural job?
My dream mural job would be a gigantic botanic outdoor mural to make art accessible to an even wider audience.
