CREATIVE STATEMENT
I really enjoy the process of creating an editorial illustration. It's exciting to dive into a new topic, do some research, brainstorm ideas, and finally develop a visual concept that illuminates the crucial part of the writing in both a resonating and unexpected way. Due to my graphic design background, I always pay special attention to composition and use a carefully selected limited color palette in my illustrations. I especially like designing small spot illustrations that work together with the main one and add an extra layer of liveliness and playfulness to the piece.

Which publication does a great job at using illustrations?
I really like the use of illustrations in Popshot magazine. It’s a quarterly publication featuring short stories and poetry, with each piece uniquely illustrated by different artists.
What topics do you most enjoy illustrating about?
So many! Travel and lifestyle, food and drinks, garden and outdoors, kids, psychology, music and weird traditions :)
