CREATIVE STATEMENT
In 2018 I graduated from SCAD with a BFA in illustration. In time, my expertise in children’s books has developed due to my inner child always wanting to explore new ideas. As an illustrator who specializes in children’s books, I nurture this focus by regularly bouncing around book stores and surrounding myself with new inspiration. To maintain my skillset, I’m constantly drawing and stirring up new ideas. I’m happy that I’ve been able to bring 9 different children’s books to life! I live to create visually inspiring content that excites and ignites children’s imaginations for years to come.

Q&A
Who is your favorite cartoon character?
My favorite storybook as a child was called There’s an Alligator Under my Bed. I thought this book had such a fun idea and an unconventional twist from the classic monster under the bed idea. I remember also finding satisfaction in the illustrations, especially how the little candies were drawn to look so tasty.
What storybook do you remember from your childhood?
I really admire author/illustrators. Those amazingly talented people who can do both so well. Some of my favorites are Vern Kousky, Steve Small, and Jon Klassen.
What is your super power?
I truly believe the thing that brings a children’s book to life is eye captivating illustrations and engaging character details.
