CREATIVE STATEMENT
What I love most about editorial illustration is its ability to catch my attention and draw me into a story or article. With each assignment, I enjoy diving into the text and sketching out ideas to find the perfect visual element that will become a bridge for the reader. My work also blends analog and inky textures with digital drawing, lending a personal touch to each project.

Which publication does a great job at using illustrations?
Taproot, NPR, and The New Yorker always catch my eye for great art, but I think regional magazines are an off the radar source for illustration, too.
What topic do you most enjoy illustrating about?
I enjoy illustrating topics with a focus on food and drink and nature.
What magazine cover do you want your illustration to be on?
I would love to be on The New Yorker cover one day.
