CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in comics began when I was developing my art style, wanting to incorporate the use of ink. I gained inspiration from black and white comics and graphic novels, including Japanese manga. I was amazed with how creative and intricate the details could get with ink. While my work is primarily digital now, I transferred the skills I learned to the style I use now in my art and comics. Pair these skills with expressive colors, perspectives, and expressions, I’m able to bring narratives to life, from short comics to graphic novels, for the children’s and young adult markets.
