CREATIVE STATEMENT
I have loved animals my whole life (my first word was "dog"), so it is unsurprising that they have become a special focus within my work. I specifically like to develop texture and detail when creating art; qualities which I feel make illustration rich and interesting. I particularly enjoy looking at the way animals move, their character, and their expression. Considering stories and personalities as I bring animals to life on the page is an important part of my process, and allows me to get fully lost within the scene.

Q&A
What animal do you most relate to?
A panda. Specifically, the one in that viral video who fell and got stuck in a tree.
What animal is the most fun to draw?
My go-to is any British woodland animal (badgers, foxes, hedgehogs), however recently I have found a real love of drawing birds.
Which do you prefer: cats or dogs?
Both? Can I say both? I've owned and adored cats throughout my life (shout out to my Al), but I fall in love with dogs all the time.
