CREATIVE STATEMENT
My goal on every project is to provide a unique perspective—that can be through choosing an unusual subject, or making a common subject stand out with a surprising color palette, composition, or one-of-a-kind execution. Pattern design is a perfect combo of my long time passions—fine art, graphic design and puzzles. A successful pattern design is more than building a clever repeat—it should also be fresh, relevant, and interesting. This is just my kind of challenge! While I bring a lot of passion to the table in my work, I also have a long history as an independent creative business person. I look forward to hearing about your next project!

Q&A
What industry do you most enjoy creating patterns for?
Home interiors are super fun—from wallpaper to upholstery to framed prints to housewares—it’s a huge blank canvas and I’m there for it!
Where do you find inspiration?
Nature and travel are always an inspiration—city streets, nature hikes, museums, drives through the countryside. But an idea can come from anywhere—a turn of phrase or striking palette or even an offhand joke can be the spark that sets you off onto a whole new thing.
What would be your dream pattern job?
I’d love to see my designs incorporated into a full suite of home décor offerings at one of my favorite retailers such as Anthropologie or World Market.
