Q&A

What industry do you most enjoy creating patterns for?
I really love creating collections for quilting fabrics. I'm able to tell a complete narrative through my illustrative style, utilizing main patterns and supporting patterns. I feel so overwhelmed with joy once I see the final customers create their art using my fabrics. It's a beautiful process!

Where do you find inspiration?
I really love nature and the secret lives of critters. I'm inspired by old story books from Richard Scarry and Beatrix Potter, as well as the British Arts and Crafts movement. My voice as an artist strives to connect the viewer to their childhood, whether it was long ago, or currently occurring!

What would be your dream pattern job?
I would love to get more into packaging for consumables, like wine, beer or chocolates. I love doing hand lettering and believe my style would work well for vintage-inspired packaging.
