CREATIVE STATEMENT
I’ve loved animals since I was a kid, my first career goal was to be a vet, but I quickly learned math wasn’t my strong suit. Now I draw them instead. My pet portrait work began with my own goofy parrot, Bilbo, who’s become both muse and studio sidekick. Over the years, I’ve turned that love into a playful, storybook-inspired style that captures each pet’s unique charm. I sell directly through my shop, offering custom portraits on prints, ornaments, mugs, and more. To me, the most important qualities of a successful pet portrait are warmth and personality.

Q&A
What is your most memorable commission?
Honestly, it’s a personal one, my own bird, Bilbo! I keep her portrait framed as a centerpiece in my home and swap it out each season. It always makes people smile when they visit.
Which do you prefer: dogs or cats?
Birds! :) But between the two? Dogs. They’re goofy, loyal, and endlessly expressive.
Which is your favorite breed?
Green cheek conures, small, loud, and full of personality! I’d love to adopt another dog someday, but we’re currently researching which breeds are best to have around birds.
