CREATIVE STATEMENT
My passion for food illustration was sparked when I began preparing wholesome meals for my young kids. As I explored different places and tasted diverse flavors over the years, my expertise in capturing the essence of food has flourished. I continually refine my skills by practicing various techniques, from ink sketches to watercolors in my sketchbook, and later translating them into more stylized pieces using Photoshop. What I find most captivating about illustrating food is its power to evoke positive emotions and trigger fond memories for the viewer. To craft a compelling food illustration, I believe it's crucial to convey the freshness and vitality of the produce, allowing the audience to connect with it on many levels. For me, the key elements of a successful food illustration lie in recognizable shapes and mindful colors for quick and effective communication. To maintain my skillset, I engage in numerous personal projects driven by my deep interest and fascination humble fruit and veg to international cuisines.
