CREATIVE STATEMENT
My mother was a very neat and organized person. The phrase that she repeated to me most often was “...a place for everything and everything in its place.” That mantra is embedded in almost everything I do, from the file system on my computer to the socks in my drawer! It also informs my illustration practice, specifically my infographics and illustrated diagrams. I love the challenge of transforming a tedious-looking data set into a visually engaging infographic!

What has been your most rewarding commission?
Warby Parker commissioned me to create a wall-sized infographic about their un-official mascot, the Blue-Footed Booby. My illustration is mounted in their flagship store on the upper west side of Manhattan.
What weird fact have you learned from a commission?
Speaking of the Blue-Footed Booby, did you know...in the late 17th century, hungry sailors would set traps for this unsuspecting seabird. Today, tricky devices like this are known as booby traps!!
What is the oddest thing you ever had to draw?
Continuing this thread, I bet I’m the only illustrator in the world who’s been asked to draw a Blue-Footed Booby with a monocle!
