CREATIVE STATEMENT
Being a creative child, you could always find me drawing. At the age of 11, I knew I wanted to become an illustrator. Over the years, I specialized in greeting cards, stationery, games, puzzles, fabric designs, and children's books. I wrote and illustrated three picture books with Dutch publisher Lemniscaat. My first book Help! Even verrassing! (Help! A suprise!) was even announced as Picture Book of the Year 2024 in the Netherlands. I am passionate about creating art that puts a smile on your face. My use of colors is lush and whimsical. I experiment with my materials and create new styles and textures to maintain my skill set.

Q&A
What was your favorite storybook as a child?
I really loved books from Roald Dahl, but my very favorite were the books from Monica Furlong (A year and a Day and Wise Child).
Which authors do you admire most?
I don't really have a favorite right now. There are too many good authors out there.
What characteristic really brings a children’s book to life?
I love a clever story but for me personally, it needs to have a touch of humor please.
