CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in maps began when I used to go camping and navigated the terrain with just a compass and map working out where the footpaths lay ahead. I've taken my love of maps and made it into an illustration career spanning over 10 years. I have worked on a variety of maps for clients in the editorial, tourism and educational sectors. For me, the two most important qualities of a successful map illustration are readability and visual appeal. Maps need to be able to quickly convey complex information in a way that is simple and easy to digest.
