CREATIVE STATEMENT
I've been writing and illustrating ever since I can remember, and it's been my lifelong dream to illustrate picture books. As an illustrator specializing in children's books, I nurture this focus by collecting ideas through snippets of notes and sketchbooks, by participating in critique groups, and b constantly striving to learn, experiment, and grow. To me, the most important part of illustration is noticing the beauty and magic of the world and trying to convey that within my work. When I'm not illustrating, I'm probably writing, walking, drinking lots of coffee, or hanging out with my family and our six furry companions.
