CREATIVE STATEMENT

As an illustrator specializing in florals and plants, I nurture this focus by enjoying and studying our beautiful outdoor world. Whether exploring on hikes, taking care of indoor plants, transforming our lawn into a garden, or sketching in the park, I find an infinite source of inspiration in nature, and particularly in plants.

Q&A

Which flower do you draw the most?
I tend to draw imaginary flowers the most, but often use poppies, peonies, and daisies as my inspiration.

What grows in your garden?
Poppies, dahlias, strawberries, creeping thyme, fruit trees, azaleas, hellebores, and a variety of herbs make up the bulk of my garden. Some plants I like to grow sometimes are tomatoes, pumpkins, and eggplants.

What do flowers symbolize to you?
Flowers symbolize happiness and patience to me: they teach, foster, and require it to thrive, and give it back ten-fold.
