CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in illustrating children's books began as soon as I could hold a book. Over the years, my expertise in storytelling has developed due to working in publishing for almost 25 years. As an illustrator who specializes in children's book art I nurture this focus by drawing everyday. What I love most about storytelling is its ability to encourage children to read. To create a successful children's book illustration I believe its important to capture emotion, movement, and expression. To maintain my skillset I leave time for experimenting.
