CREATIVE STATEMENT
As an illustrator who specializes in floral and botanical pattern design, I nourish this focus by observing real growth patterns in nature— especially botanical development—and by learning new techniques to take my pattern repeats to the top level. I stay updated with the latest repeating pattern creation software to improve and accelerate my creative process. For me, the two most important qualities to make successful print pattern designs that work well, is to apply the appropriate tools to create them and know the type of material and product where they will be applied. Knowing how and where the designs will be printed, helps me create my best surface pattern designs for each industry. I am very interested in investigating the historical evolution of printing pattern designs in all cultures around the world.

While I like to create patterns for all kinds of products, my favorites are the patterns for textiles and stationery designs.
