CREATIVE STATEMENT
I am a graduate from School of Visual Arts in NYC and have been illustrating professionally for decades. What I love most about editorial illustration is the creative quest, the “puzzle” element that makes you play with symbols in order to express a message or tell a story. It can be simple and evocative, descriptive and poetic. In order to maintain my skills sharp and interesting, I give myself assignments or follow creative challenges when I’m not on deadline. I love the faster turnaround of editorial illustration, it keeps my art lively.
