My interest in animals began at an early age when I doodled cats and made comics based off a bird called "Birdo". It was a top seller in my household, I assure you. Over the years, my expertise in the subject has developed due to the fact that animals naturally make people happy. And when you put them in glasses and cowboy boots, they make people even happier. The aspect I love most about animals is that they are accessible to everyone, no matter their race, age, or background. To create a successful illustration I believe it's important to ask myself what the focus is—humor? A beautiful color story to look at? Detail? From there I begin and build on that mission statement. To maintain my skillset within this discipline I am constantly sketching and doodling ideas, whether it be with the intention for puzzles, greeting cards, publishing, or whatever market will invite them over! Thanks for looking at my art and I hope it made you smile.

This is awkward now. Dogs. Wait no...cats. Both?
