CREATIVE STATEMENT
I started animating my illustrations early with simple 2-3 frame gifs as a way to bring my characters to life. Over time, I’ve put together teams to direct animations and short films for brands like Facebook, Apple, and American Express. I often bounce between my favorite type of animation being short films and simple looping silly GIFs.

Q&A
What detail makes an animation successful?
If you pause an animation on any frame, it should convey story. I focus on strong key visuals throughout an entire animation.
What is your favorite animated film?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem from 2023 currently is my favorite
What really brings an animation to life?
Really pushing poses and the limits of reality, while staying grounded enough to be emotional. I love capturing energy without making everything absurdly cartoonish. A fine balance of believability with fun style.
