CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in greeting cards began when I worked for a stationery company. Over the years, my expertise in greeting cards has developed due to making lots of them and I nurture this focus by making them frequently. What I love most about greeting cards is their ability to connect people. To create a successful greeting card illustration I believe its important to be succinct. For me, the two most important qualities of a successful greeting card illustration are legibility and cleverness.

What is your favorite occasion to illustrate?
My favorite occasion to illustrate is “congratulations”. I love any reason to celebrate. The smaller the occasion the better!
Which card do you still keep on your desk?
The card I still keep on my desk is from my husband congratulating me on receiving artist representation.
What is the most unique card you ever created?
The most unique card I ever created featured cheetahs and florals, was blank inside and picked up by a major retailer. I’ve had people tell me they’ve bought it and framed it. What a compliment!
