CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in drawing and painting wildlife and birds really bloomed when I spent a year in Australia at 16 years old. It was a completely different world from New York state, with bright, multicolored birds and strange looking creatures everywhere. It also taught me to pay attention to the little things in nature. Now, I love the idea of incorporating everyday objects with little critters and bringing the outdoors into our space. I draw and paint traditionally with watercolors and gouache.

What animal do you most relate to?
A bird, kind of quiet and keep to them selves. Sweet natured and protective parent.
What animal is the most fun to draw?
Birds with their fluffy bellies, detailed feathers and sweet personalities.
Which do you prefer: cats or dogs?
Hmm, a little of both. I’m kinda scared of big dogs though.
