CREATIVE STATEMENT
As an illustrator who specializes in food, I love designing playful compositions that celebrate ingredients, kitchen gadgets, and branding. I grew up on a farm, and my grandparents were avid gardeners and superb cooks. I logged many hours in the kitchen learning from them and later worked in a gourmet grocery store. I strive to bring this deep love and reverence for food to my art with a big splash of fun. Whisk in retro vibes and fold in wonky lettering, and I have a fresh illustration style to complement the calories.

What fruit or vegetable do you most love to illustrate?
Beets! Perhaps I’ve read too much Tom Robbins, but I think beets are the royalty of the root vegetables with their rich ruby, magenta color.
What is your comfort food?
Gluten free pasta or TexMex. I’m a Texan with celiac disease.
What is your favorite beverage?
Cold brew in the am, sparkling water in the pm.
