What I love most about illustration is its ability to communicate ideas and feelings that would be extremely challenging to accomplish with a photograph. Illustrators can really get into emotions and speak soul to soul with the viewer.

There are so many! But I think company wide, The New York Times does a wonderful job of utilizing illustration.
What topic do you most enjoy illustrating about?
Really anything, I love the challenge of being able to take a dry-er subject matter, and create a compelling image that stops someone in their tracks.
What magazine cover do you want your illustration to be on?
Oh man, this is tough. But maybe WIRED, Plansponsor, or Tricycle.
