CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in illustration ignited from a deep appreciation for nature and its intricate details. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills across various mediums—digital, graphite, pen and ink, and watercolor—by delving into themes of life’s cycles and the balance between light and dark. As an illustrator specializing in nature, I bring this focus to life through detailed renderings of insects, animals, and plants with a distinctive realism. What I love most about nature-inspired art is its power to reveal the subtle beauty and complexity of the natural world. To create my nature illustrations, it’s crucial for me to use a limited color palette. I draw from both personal experiences and the influence of my favorite artists. For me, the key qualities of a successful nature illustration are meticulous detail and a profound connection to the subject. To maintain and elevate my skillset, I continually seek new techniques and get inspiration from my surroundings on two acres of beautiful forest land and my beloved rabbit Bean.

Rabbits are my spirit animal, they’re cautious yet curious, just like me!

Birds, I have to stop myself from drawing birds all the time.

Dogs! But cats are wonderful too.
