CREATIVE STATEMENT
I founded UnBlink Studio in beautiful Victoria, Canada, where I am happily surrounded by mountains, forests, beaches and the Pacific Ocean. I am completely obsessed with creating perfect, flowing and beautifully-coloured surface pattern designs and illustrations primarily for home décor, wallpaper, textiles, apparel, tech accessories, stationery and more. I’m constantly experimenting with new ideas, and my distinctive pattern designs reflect my obsessions with Mid-Century Modern design, anything Japanese, the intricate florals of William Morris and Josef Frank, and the landscapes, textiles, colours and craft traditions I have seen throughout my international travels. My eyes are always open, and don’t even ask how many books about pattern design I have!

What industry do you most enjoy creating patterns for?
I most enjoy creating pattern designs for wallpaper, home décor, fashion and fabric, and I love working in collections within these industries.
Where do you find inspiration?
I can find inspiration anywhere: wandering beaches and coastlines, hiking in forests and up mountain paths; my studio garden; international travels; books and magazines; and scrolling around the internet.
What would be your dream pattern job?
My dream pattern job would be one that results in me seeing my own pattern designs in a glossy shelter or fashion magazine spread or advertisement. EEEE!
