CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in illustrated maps began as a child. I remember I was fascinated by the images in books about ancient civilizations and the highly detailed old maps found in atlases. And my grandma's globe, with continents, the colours and the constellations that were visible when the light was turned on, was brilliant. To create a successful illustrated map I believe it’s important to give attention to detail, know the architectural styles, and geographical landmarks that define each locale. Through illustration maps, I strive to not only map out the physical terrain but also to capture the soul of each destination, celebrating the diversity and richness of the place while inspiring others to embark on their own adventures of exploration and discovery. Maps capture the essence of each country, not just the geographical characteristics, but also the pulse of its people, the charm of its streets and the stories engraved in its landscapes.

Q&A
What is your most memorable vacation spot?
I would say Italy, my Erasmus destination (well, technically it wasn't a vacation, but we all know that not much work gets done during Erasmus). Italy has cities brimming with history, art, and monuments, as well as absolutely stunning natural landscapes.
What is your favorite mode of transportation?
I prefer walking and taking the train.
Which do you prefer: mountains, desert, beach, or forest?
The beach, the ocean, the sand and the mountains for hiking. The perfection is the beach with mountains!
