CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in pattern design came from my love of turning beautiful illustrations into useful products in the real world. I nurture my focus by practising illustration, drawing everything and anything I see. I am always trying to find new inspiration for colours and designs and particularly enjoy blending traditional materials and modern techniques to create my designs. With all elements created by hand using analogue materials before being digitally edited I love to see the imperfections and authentic textures coming through in my work.

Q&A
What industry do you most enjoy creating patterns for?
The homeware industry is my favourite to create patterns for.
Where do you find inspiration?
I think all things can be inspiring if looked at the right way, whether it’s for colour, texture, form or theme. I really enjoy working with clients who have a brief but need to see those words come alive in a design.
What would be your dream pattern job?
My dream pattern job would be one creating anything with natural elements in or illustrations that need texture and a touch of imperfection.
