CREATIVE STATEMENT
I’ve always been inspired by nature when creating. The flora that changes through each season captures my imagination. Over the years, my expertise in floral surface design has developed as I worked with a wide range of clients in the greeting card, home goods and stationery markets. As an illustrator who specializes in flowers and plants, I nurture this focus by studying in my own garden, visiting botanical centers, and pouring over years of flower photos snapped during my travels.

Q&A
Which flower do you draw the most?
I love drawing dahlias. They are always finding their way into my floral illustrations.
What grows in your garden?
I grow an herb garden every year with culinary favorites like basil, thyme, mint, and chives. I grow peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and mixed beds of different lettuces. I add new perennials to my flower beds once the weather permits. I love seeing the bulbs of daffodils pop up in the spring and then tiger lilies and irises in the summer.
What do flowers symbolize to you?
Flowers symbolize joy and beauty.
