CREATIVE STATEMENT
My biggest inspiration for my illustrations comes from my own life and seeing or reading about the lives of others. My expertise in lifestyle illustration has developed in part due to my time as an in-house illustrator for a health tech company, creating imagery to accompany articles written by patients or caregivers of those living with chronic conditions. I love drawing the mundane, complicated, peaceful or strange elements of everyday life and making each situation into a beautiful illustration with my vibrant style and bold color palettes.

Q&A
Do you draw from a model or your imagination?
I draw from my imagination as often as I can but frequently refer to photographs to get a certain angle or positioning just right. I also sometimes take photos of myself to get the exact pose I'm looking for when drawing people.
What is your favorite activity to illustrate?
I'm an avid roller skater myself, and I love to draw people roller skating! Drawing any kind of sport or activity with a lot of motion is really fun for me and I'd love to do it more.
Where do you find inspiration for new people and poses?
There is a park in Philly called Rittenhouse Square that is a great people- and dog-watching spot. People are lounging, dogs are interacting with other dogs, performers are sometimes playing music or dancing...there is lots of inspiration to be had in that one small area.
