CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in illustrating maps began when I was very little, I was always scribbling little versions of my local town and neighbourhood. Over the years, I've developed my skills as a map illustrator through many fun commissions for a wide range of UK and international clients including Nestle, The BBC and Timeout magazine. What I love most about map illustrating is its ability to highlight a location in any fun way you choose, from its people, food, landmarks to the landscape and buildings that make it unique. For me the most important things that make a successful map illustration are fun and focus on location, really doing the research so that the unique aspects of a place shine through in the work.
