CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in innovative and engaging children’s books began as a child, with the Golden Sound books and this stuck with me. During uni my style started to become more accessible so that children would engage with it more. This is something I nurture and focus on as books helped me a lot and to pass down knowledge and experience with people feels very rewarding. I believe that making things feel animated and relatable in an illustration helps them to be successful.

What was your favorite storybook as a child?
Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter.
Which authors do you admire most?
I really admire John Bond, Ed Vere, and Jon Klassen.
What characteristic really brings a children’s book to life?
If the characters almost feel like there’s true movement to them and have a flow, this really makes it feel alive.
