CREATIVE STATEMENT
I began drawing “characters” early on, mostly from tv shows as a kid and drawing people. Since designing Miles lockdown, I’ve been proactive with developing a consistent style across my character creations, and due to my background in realism I have the ability to build styles for different clients. In order to keep momentum with my design and nurture it, I watch many animated series. I enjoy illustrating characters as I like to speculate on their personalities. Characters need to have a relatability to them and be emotive. When my drive slips, I sketch known characters: self portraits and my cat.
