I’m Danielle Chandler, a freelance illustrator and surface pattern designer creating colorful, trend-forward, and fresh artwork for licensing, home decor, wallpaper, stationery, kids products, party, and paper goods. My work blends playful storytelling, bright color palettes, and hand-drawn charm, often inspired by gardens, travel, nostalgia, holidays, and everyday joy. With experience designing licensed collections that translate seamlessly across many product categories, I create whimsical yet commercially polished illustrations that help brands connect emotionally with modern, design-loving consumers.

What industry do you most enjoy creating patterns for?
Party goods! I love hosting themed parties for family and friends, so creating collections for holidays and birthdays is such a joy.

What would be your dream pattern job?
Designing every surface in a space—walls, furniture, textiles, floors, artwork, and beyond. Interior design and decorating are passions of mine, and being able to tell a story and inspire creativity through a room or experience is just so magical.

Where do you find inspiration?
I'm an observer and find delight in noticing, no matter where I am. A walk through my garden, a trip to my favorite vintage shop, my travels around the world, and anything colorful can provide endless sources of inspiration. I believe an artist can never be bored as long as they are looking.
