CREATIVE STATEMENT

My interest in making comics began in 2021 when I started turning my journal entries into illustrated stories. I found the more I shared my stories and life experiences in this format, the more I could connect with other people going through similar situations. After being hired by The Washington Post and The New York Times early on in my comic journey, I've been able to develop my style with a lot of  support from my community. What I love most about making illustrated comics is my ability to combine writing and drawing in a way that helps me relate to others by sharing common experiences. My most frequent comic topics include parenthood, pregnancy, postpartum, gender, and also animals and travel. To maintain my skill set, I journal and sketch often!

    Q&A

Who is the funniest character from your childhood?
    Jerry Seinfeld

What is your favorite corny joke?
I love almost every corny joke I hear, as they are my weakness. While most of my comic work isn't meant to be humorous and tends to be a bit serious, I'm actually a very silly person and love to laugh.

What cracks you up, every time?
    My brother
