CREATIVE STATEMENT
As an illustrator who specializes in greeting cards, I nurture this focus by drawing inspiration from my own life, finding joy in the little things. To create a successful greeting card illustration I believe it's important to slow down and notice all the joy and love you experience every day. What I love most about illustrating for greeting cards is their ability to connect people. Life can be so chaotic sometimes, and a meaningful greeting card is a tiny way to slow down and show someone how much they mean to you.

Q&A
What is your favorite occasion to illustrate?
I have a sweet spot for Valentine's Day and Christmas greeting cards, which is funny because I don't celebrate either holiday. Both of these holidays bring people closer and really celebrate love and joy, which I find so special.
Which card do you still keep on your desk?
I struggle with imposter syndrome often, so I keep many greeting cards from close friends nearby in case I need words of encouragement. They are a nice reminder of how meaningful greeting cards can be when time and care are put into them.
What is the most unique card you ever created?
The most unique card I ever created was this Christmas card with Lovepop: not only did it have a 3D pop up element, but it also had flashing lights and music: We Wish You a Merry Christmas played when opened.
