CREATIVE STATEMENT
From the groovy wallpaper that adorned the kitchen of my childhood home to current weekly trips to my local food coop, fruits and vegetables have always fascinated and inspired me. I constantly marvel at the bounty and variety that nature provides, as well as the beauty that presents itself on my cutting board and plate. To create successful food illustrations, my priority is to impart energy into the work—it should feel exciting to eat! Like composing a great salad, I focus on color, texture, and contrast, creating illustrations that feel lively, fun, and delicious.
